2018 City of Elyria Fireworks - July 3 @ West Park

The 2018 City of Elyria Great American Picnic and Fireworks Show is coming Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at West Park -1200 Foster Avenue (rain date July 6)! Festivities kick off at 4:00pm with live music, food trucks, bounce houses, kids games, and, of course...FIREWORKS!  The greatest pyrotechnic show in Ohio will kick off when dusk arrives.  Look below for more details, and thank you to all of our tremendously generous summer sponsors for making this and our other great summer activities possible again this year!

Lorain County Courthouse Rededication - Saturday, June 23 @ 5:30pm!

The County Commissioners have completed their tremendous renovation of the historic Lorain County Courthouse on 2nd Street and will hold a world-class celebration on Saturday, June 23rd starting at 5:30pm at 308 2nd Street.  They have made arrangement for hot dogs and pizza, face-painting and games for kids, and will be giving tours of the newly-refurbished courthouse and the Transportation Center, all set to the musical background of Swing City Big Band Featuring Raymond Ewers, who will be playing live for all to enjoy.  The actual ceremony will begin at 7:00pm.

Flag Day Ceremony - June 14 @ 7pm in Ely Square!

Flag Day is this Thursday, June 14, 2018!  If you have never been to this event, held by the American Legion and the Elyria Elks Lodge, you are encouraged to attend at least once.  Not only do the Elks and the American Legion do a tremendous job of honoring our Country and Armed Forces, but they decorate Ely Square with red, white and blue in a way that can't help but you make you proud of our Country and our City.  The event will be held in Ely Square on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 7:00pm.  It is absolutely free and open to the public. Bring your family and join us in honoring our Country, our veterans, and our flag!
