Mosquito Spraying in City of Elyria: July 30 - August 3, 2018

The Lorain County General Health District will be spraying much of Elyria for mosquitoes over the next few days.  Beginning tonight at 8:45pm tonight they will have crews out spraying working from the South side of the City northward.  Other crews, over the next few nights, will also begin spraying from the east toward the west.


You do not need to take any extra precautions other than what you might take if you are spraying insecticide in or around your own home.  Any odors should dissipate quickly and leave us with a hopefully mosquito-free outdoors for the rest of the summer.

Sanitation Delay - Week of July 4, 2018

Due to observance of the Independence Day holiday, there will be a ONE DAY DELAY for Elyria residents whose garbage pickup day is normally Wedesday, Thursday, or Friday.
