Super Hero Weekend - May 1st & 2nd, 2015!

On Friday May 1^st and Saturday, May 2^nd, the City of Elyria will once again face great peril, adventure, and FUN as the SUPER HEROES TO KIDS IN OHIO triumphantly return to our great metropolis to help keep the streets of Elyria safe and clean!  All downtown events are FREE and open to the public!

Friday, May 1^st, 2015 - Atlas Cinema Midway Mall 8

·         FREE COMICS and GRAB BAGS, Trivia Questions and Prizes (while supplies last)!

·         3:00pm-5:00pm:  FREE CARICATURES and the opportunity to have your picture taken with Captain American’s Shield or see Tony Stark’s Avengers Car!  Don’t forget to bring your camera!

·         Meet, greet, and get your picture taken with selected members of SUPER HEROES TO KIDS IN OHIO!

·         AFTER-SCHOOL SCREENINGS OF THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON! Showtimes To Be Announced!

 Saturday May 2^nd – Downtown Elyria  & Ely Square

·         11:30am: KEITH’S COMICS will be providing FREE COMICS in honor of Free Comic Book Day and FREE 2-for-1 passes from ATLAS CINEMA MIDWAY MALL 8 will be available!

·         12:00pm – 3:00pm: Elyria Mayor Holly C. Brinda will welcome the SUPER HEROES TO KIDS IN OHIO and start all the fun, family-friendly and FREE activities in front of Ely Square, including

SUPERHERO CRAFTS TO HELP MAKE YOUR OWN SUPERHERO COSTUME, FREE HEALTHY SNACKS, FREE CARICATURES (from 12-2pm), the chance to get your picture taken with Captain America’s shield, and with your help, we’ll BUILD A SUPER CITY OUT OF GIANT BLOCKS to help you practice your superhero skills!

·         12:45 – 2:00pm: THE SUPER KIDS and SUPER HEROES TO KIDS IN OHIO will swoop across Downtown Elyria and try to catch the nefarious SUPER VILLAINS in the middle of their underhanded deeds!

·         2:00pm: Elyria Mayor Holly C. Brinda will thank the Super Kids and Super Heroes after their tremendous victory and proclaim the City of Elyria SAVED FROM THE SUPER VILLAINS!

·         2:15pm to 3:45pm: THE SUPER HEROES TO KIDS IN OHIO will meet you throughout and around Ely Square – shake their hands, get your picture taken with them, and maybe even get some tips on being the best Super Kid you can be!

·         4:00pm:  Trivia Questions for FREE PRIZES at KEITH’S COMICS.

·         SUPER MEALS all day long at DONNA’S DINER near the square.
