City of Elyria Partners With Crains Cleveland Business And MAGNET to Help Local Manufacturers

Helping Elyria manufacturers stay competitive…. That’s the aim of a partnership between the City of Elyria, Crains Cleveland Business and MAGNET as we join forces with other regional partners to present the 2015 (M)Power Manufacturing Assembly on Wednesday, September 30 from 7:30am – 1:30pm at the John S. Knight Center – 77 East Mill Street in Akron.  “As a City we are excited to be part of this pro-active approach to support our very significant and evolving manufacturing community in Elyria,” said Mayor Holly Brinda.  “We are a city of makers with a global impact and maintaining our competitive edge is important to our community and the world.”   

Elyria and other regional manufacturers are being invited and encouraged to participate in the program designed to provide attendees with an in-depth, street-level view for growing their business. Educational sessions will address ways to increase their competitive advantage in the new face of manufacturing and today’s economically challenging times.

The 2014 event was a sell-out, so Elyria companies are encouraged to register and purchase their tickets early to secure a spot in the conference.  Elyria manufacturers who would like to learn more should go to the event website here.  A direct link to the registration page can be found here.  All reservations must be made in advance.  A continental breakfast will be served.  Single tickets are $55, groups of five are $250, and groups of ten are $475. 

The City of Elyria will also have a presence at the event to share information with the Northeast Ohio manufacturing community about Elyria and the many assets, opportunities and incentives the City offers to help businesses thrive.
