The City of Elyria Mayor’s Office was pleased to join in the
recent celebration of one of our most distinguished companies. On
Thanksgiving Day, 2015 Crane Aerospace, Lear Romec achieved 365 days of being
injury free. Achieving this
important milestone is reflective of the dedication and importance that is
placed on safety in the workplace at 241 South Abbe Road.
To distinguish this achievement, the company held a
celebratory lunch on December 2nd and invited Elyria Mayor Holly
Brinda and Safety Service Director Mary Siwierka. The Mayor was pleased to present a
proclamation, greet employees and learn more about this growing aerospace
company with global influence. Crane is
a leading producer and service provider for Lear Romec oil, fuel, and coolant
pumps used in aircraft, gas turbine engines and radar cooling systems. The company serves the commercial transport,
general aviation, business, regional jet and ground-based gas turbine
markets.
The City of Elyria encourages safety at all Elyria companies
and both the Elyria Fire Department and the Elyria Police Department regularly
work with companies to help identify and mitigate safety risks. If your company would like more information
about how you can work with the City of Elyria to make your workplace safer,
please contact the mayor’s Office at (440) 326-1402.
