First Energy to Replace Major Transmission Line...and Pride Day is Coming Up Soon!
First Energy will be replacing a major transmission line in
Elyria to North Ridgeville. Work will begin May 12th. The line will start at Griswold and SR57 and
head eastward and involves the replacement of power lines and poles. No
power interruption is expected. If
residents have questions, please call the First Energy Project Hotline at
1-888-340-3588. Any residents with direct impacts should have been contacted by
First Energy already, but there may be others that have questions.
The 20th Annual Pride Day will take place on Saturday, May 17th from 9am-noon. We take this day every year to come together as a community and work together to beautify our great City. We still need volunteers for a variety of duties, including planting, weeding, and painting. Every job is important and we welcome any pair of hands willing to help. Any groups or individuals wishing to paint fire hydrants do not have to wait until Pride Day to start. Paint kits with the safety-required reflective paint and instructions will be available in the Parks and Recreation Department at Elyria City Hall, 131 Court Street, Suite 103.
